Andy has recently implemented a couple of features that are very useful when dealing with complex scenes.
Level Of Detail allows you to specify different models for the same object and switch between them according to the distance of the camera. You can provide a simple model for objects that are far away, optimizing the number of polys rendered at any time.
Fog Filter shades objects according to their depth and includes a Z-Depth filter so all faces that are past the maxDepth aren’t rendered.
With a little bit of planning and testing, both features can be combined to create richer and more compelling 3D scenes, with bigger environments and a lot more polys.

Your fog filter link is not found – or maybe I can’t see it in this weather – a-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha
